Looks kind of different right? Well after an impressive quarter of mac sales, Apple’s refreshes its all-in-one desktop monster has many new features. Firstly, the body has been made with Apple’s “Unibody” aluminum processing technology, thus making it thinner and stronger. Secondly, the glass screen cover covers the entire screen, it doesn’t just stop before metal, it goes all the way to the edge. The screen has been change from a 16:10 ratio to 16:9, thus making it better for movie watchers. This also means there are new screen sizes:

  • 21.5-Inch
  • 27-inch

The back is also Aluminum, But I’ll let Jonny Ive, Apple’s chief designer, explain that:

The specs are also changed, with Intel’s monster i5 and i7 quad core’s and new graphics card options:

Processor

  • 21.5-inch and 27-inch models, one of the following:
    • 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 3MB shared L2 cache
    • 3.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 6MB shared L2 cache
  • 27-inch models only, one of the following:
    • 2.66GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor with 8MB shared L3 cache; Turbo Boost dynamic performance up to 3.2GHz
    • 2.8GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor with 8MB shared L3 cache; Turbo Boost dynamic performance up to 3.46GHz; Hyper-Threading for up to eight virtual cores

Memory

  • 4GB (two 2GB SO-DIMMs) of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM; four SO-DIMM slots support up to 16GB

Graphics:

21.5-inch model:

  • NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory3
  • ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR3 memory

27-inch model with dual-core processor:

  • ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR3 memory
  • ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR3 memory  27-inch model with quad-core processor:
  • ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR3 memory
